A Nigerian lady has expressed displeasure over the ongoing rehabilitation of Ring Road, questioning why the road is receiving urgent attention following the arrival of Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu.
In a video circulating online, the lady voiced her frustration over what she perceived as preferential treatment, wondering why residents had to endure the road’s condition before work began to receive greater attention.
Reacting to the development, she questioned whether the people living in the area were less deserving of good roads and other basic infrastructure simply because no prominent personality was visiting.
“Because of one person, they are rushing to fix the road. Are we, the residents, not human beings?” she asked.
Her comments have drawn attention to concerns about the maintenance of public infrastructure and the need for authorities to respond promptly to the everyday challenges faced by residents, rather than appearing to prioritise projects when important visitors are expected.
