BREAKING NEWS: “TOOTHLESS LIONESSES?” — I Go Save DRAGS First Ladies Over Silence as Oyo School Kidnap Tragedy Deepens

A storm of outrage has erupted online after popular Nigerian comedian I Go Save publicly called out First Ladies across the country for what he described as “shocking silence” over the abduction of schoolchildren and teachers in Oyo State.

The emotional outburst comes in the wake of a deadly attack in Oriire Local Government Area, where suspected gunmen invaded two communities on May 15, 2026, killing at least two people and abducting pupils and teachers from multiple schools. Days later, tragedy deepened after one of the kidnapped teachers, identified as Michael Oyedokun of Community High School, Ahoro Esiele, was reportedly killed by the abductors, with disturbing reports of the incident surfacing online.

Reacting to the situation, I Go Save didn’t hold back. In a strongly worded post, he questioned why influential women in leadership positions—especially First Ladies—have not publicly spoken out or taken visible action over the worsening situation.

He wrote in part, asking how “mothers in power” could remain silent while innocent children remain in captivity, stressing that their silence only worsens public frustration and despair. He also urged immediate intervention to secure the release of the victims and prevent further loss of life.

His comments, especially the phrase “toothless lionesses,” have sparked heated debate across social media, with some Nigerians agreeing that leaders should speak up more boldly, while others argue that security responses are better handled through official channels rather than public pressure campaigns.

As emotions continue to rise, Nigerians are demanding urgent action from authorities, the safe return of the abducted children and teachers, and stronger measures to prevent future attacks on schools and communities.

For now, the nation watches anxiously as pressure mounts on leaders—both political and symbolic—to break their silence and respond decisively to yet another heartbreaking security crisis.
