Nollywood actress and politician Tonto Dikeh has continued to deepen her public commitment to her Christian faith, openly embracing her evolving role as an evangelist and spiritual speaker.
Earlier in February, she made headlines after announcing her graduation from a discipleship programme at Streams of Joy International, a church led by Pastor Jerry Eze. The actress shared the moment on social media, posting a video of her certificate and describing what she called a powerful inner transformation that has reshaped her priorities, mindset, and spiritual direction.
Four months after declaring her intention to follow the gospel path more seriously, Tonto has continued to publicly demonstrate her commitment. She later drew attention online after reportedly participating in a deliverance session where she claimed to have helped free a schoolgirl from what she described as a spiritual attack. According to her, this experience reinforced her belief that she is stepping into a divinely assigned mission.
In her words, she explained that her past struggles were part of a bigger purpose, stating that she believes she was “delivered so she could help deliver others.” That statement has since become a recurring theme in her public messages as she continues her faith journey.
Since then, she has remained active in preaching both online and offline. Whether sharing sermons, engaging in street evangelism, or posting inspirational messages, she appears increasingly committed to spreading her interpretation of the Christian gospel.
In one of her recent Instagram teachings, she encouraged followers to stay spiritually connected, comparing human life to a tree that must remain rooted to flourish. She emphasized that true growth, in her view, comes from abiding in Christ and maintaining a consistent relationship with God rather than occasional religious expression.
She also referenced the Bible verse John 15:5, where Jesus speaks about being the vine and believers being the branches, stressing that spiritual productivity depends on staying connected to God.
In another reflection, she quoted James 4:8 — “Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you” — highlighting her belief that faith should not be limited to church services but should be a daily lifestyle. According to her, God desires a genuine relationship with people, one that goes beyond emotions or momentary experiences.
