Nigerian comedian and content creator, The Cute Abiola, has appealed to President Bola Tinubu over poor electricity supply, lamenting that even his solar power system has stopped working.
The skit maker made the appeal in a video shared online, where he expressed frustration over the lack of electricity and the discomfort caused by the heat.
Addressing the president, Cute Abiola said his solar power supply was also off, despite the growing reliance on alternative energy sources to cope with frequent power outages.
He said, “President Tinubu, my solar is off. Please, for God’s sake, help us. My solar is off right now. Please, everywhere is hot. The suffering is too much. Please, there’s no light. Abeg.”
He also sarcastically questioned the suggestion that Nigerians should simply invest in solar power, adding, “Buy solar, buy solar. Solar sef dey off.”
His comments have generated reactions on social media, with some Nigerians making jokes about the situation, while others noted that the hardship caused by poor electricity supply affects people regardless of their background
