Nigerian content creators, Aisha and Odogwu Bubu, have taken to social media to express deep grief following the death of their newborn daughter just hours after her birth.
What was meant to be a moment of joy turned into heartbreak, as the couple revealed that they left the hospital without their baby.
In an emotional post, Aisha described the pain as “unexplainable” and said the loss has left her with many unanswered questions and regrets.
“We lost our newborn baby. We didn’t come home with our beautiful baby girl,” she wrote.
She added, “What I am going through right now, I don’t wish for my worst enemy. The pain is unexplainable and the hurt is deep. The death of one’s child is another level of agony.”
Aisha also expressed concerns about the care her baby received, noting that the child was born prematurely but had no other known medical complications. She stated that she believes the outcome might have been different if proper medical attention had been provided.

While mentioning Obijackson Specialist Hospital and a maternity home in Okija, she said she had more to say about the situation but chose to remain calm “for the sake of God and humanity.”
She further lamented that, as of the time of her statement, no doctor had clearly explained the cause of her baby’s death.
“Up till today, none of the doctors have told me why my child died. This was a baby I saw in the morning of her demise; she was doing fine,” she said.
Despite the grief, Aisha expressed gratitude to friends and well-wishers who have supported the family during the difficult time.
