“Do Not Mislead The Public”- Yetunde Barnabas Fires Back At Ajefunke After Forgiving Her

Nollywood actress Yetunde Barnabas has called out her critic, Ajefunke Kofoshi, over claims that she was invited rather than arrested amid their recent dispute.

The development comes hours after Yetunde announced that she had confronted Ajefunke legally over defamatory comments the latter allegedly made about her movie.

In an earlier social media post, the actress disclosed that Ajefunke had admitted her wrongdoing. She added that she had decided to forgive her in the interest of peace, provided she fulfilled certain conditions, including making a video apology.

Yetunde wrote:

“Ajefunke and I have finally faced off legally.

She has admitted her wrongdoings, and for the sake of peace, I have decided to let it go on these conditions.

Love always.

Thanks, everyone”.

However, the situation took a different turn after Ajefunke shared a video featuring herself and Yetunde on her social media page. In her caption, she insisted that she had not been arrested but was only invited by the actress.

She wrote:

“Yetunde invited Ajefunke, not arrested. Eyin elejo ofo, Omo ale iru”.

Ajefunke’s statement appeared to contradict the impression created by the earlier account of their legal confrontation, prompting Yetunde to respond publicly.

Reacting to the post, Yetunde insisted that Ajefunke had indeed been picked up and arrested before pleading for forgiveness and admitting her wrongdoing.

According to the actress, she chose to let the matter go because she wanted peace and had no desire to prolong the dispute.

Yetunde also claimed that Ajefunke had pleaded with her to make a video addressing the situation, a request she agreed to despite previously cautioning her against using abusive language towards others.

She wrote:

“You were picked up and arrested; you begged and admitted your wrongdoing with the cursed and begged me, so I let it go for the sake of peace cause there’s nothing in this life. And you begged me to make a video, which I agreed to cause I love peace

I made the video after telling you not to curse people again, and I still cautioned you in the same video. Do not mislead the public.”

The exchange has brought renewed attention to the disagreement between the two women, with Yetunde accusing Ajefunke of misleading the public about what transpired.
