Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has exchanged words with investigative journalist Kemi Olunloyo following a disagreement over comments made about her amid her ongoing situation with estranged husband, Senator Ned Nwoko.
The controversy began after Kemi Olunloyo reacted to Ned Nwoko’s public appeal concerning the actress.
In a post shared on social media, Kemi addressed Regina’s fans, urging them to stop directing negative comments and energy towards her. She maintained that the actress needed love, encouragement and emotional support rather than further negativity.
She also asked Regina’s supporters to keep her name out of their discussions.
“Dear Regina’s IG fans, please take your toxicity and negative energy far away from me.
All Gina needs now is positive energy, emotional support, and love. Try to keep my name out of your mouths”.
Reacting to the journalist’s remarks, Regina expressed surprise at her decision to distance herself from her supporters.
The actress suggested that she had deliberately remained silent about Kemi because she had stepped away from online controversies. She also questioned why the journalist would ask her fans to stay away from her.
Regina did not hold back as she fired several remarks at Kemi, referring to her as “Aunty Werey” and making sarcastic comments about her age and public statements.
“Sorry I have to laugh this laugh pls publicly.
Aunty werey, just because I am now a retired wahala person, I kept you quiet to be buzzing. Don’t you know someone staying in one place recovering from what would have killed the likes of you will be itching to faint somebody?
How can you tell my gang to stay away from you? I shock, I swear!
So you know the meaning of that all this while? Or was it because of your daily 2k? If that’s it, no wahala, ride on, jare!

Plus, because of your grey hair, you merit my response. Don’t feel accomplished and put the praises on your experience, because if it’s by that, you won’t beat your chest, speaking nonsense in Queen’s English that’s not making any sense”.
Kemi Olunloyo subsequently responded to Regina’s outburst, questioning why the actress would address her as “Aunty Werey”.
She also raised concerns about whether Regina was personally managing her social media accounts or if someone else could be impersonating her.
Kemi further stated that she would not accept what she considered disrespectful behaviour from the actress.
“Why would @regina.daniels call me Aunty Werey?
Is it her family posting on her handles? Dancing photos in a hotel room, wading in a pool, etc.
I will not tolerate this disrespect from someone possibly impersonating her”.
