EPL: New Chelsea manager Alonso names his three focuses at Stamford Bridge

New Chelsea manager, Xabi Alonso, has named his three focuses at Stamford Bridge.

In an interview with Chelsea’s website, Alonso said his focus at the Blues is on ‘hard work, the right culture and winning trophies.’

Recall that Chelsea appointed the Liverpool legend after the club lost the FA Cup final at the hands of  Manchester City on Saturday evening at Wembley Stadium.

The 44-year-old will start his new role on July 1, 2026, having agreed a four‑year contract with the Premier League west London club.

“There is great talent in the Chelsea squad, and it’ll be my great honour to lead it,” Alonso, a former Real Madrid and Bayer Leverkusen, stated as quoted by Chelsea’s website.

“Now my focus is on hard work, the right culture and winning trophies.”
