Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa State has announced minor changes to his cabinet, with a newly appointed commissioner, Leader Leneke, heading the Ministry of Information.
Two commissioners swapped portfolios, as Sali Idris moved from the Ministry of Livestock to the Ministry of Agriculture, while Professor David Jatau took over the Ministry of Livestock from Agriculture.
Muhammad Chubado, former Commissioner for Energy Development, is now Commissioner for Health and Human Services.
In the interim, the Commissioner for Special Duties, Usman Lamurde, will oversee the Ministry of Livestock pending the return of Jatau, who is on sick leave.
Fintiri’s Chief Press Secretary, Humwashi Wonosikou, who announced the cabinet reshuffle on Wednesday evening, said Leader Leneke was asked to take charge of the Ministry of Information and Strategy following the resignation of James Iliya, who is seeking nomination to contest for the Demsa House of Assembly seat.
