Nigerian Afrobeats star Ruger has said financial stability is not one of the qualities he considers when choosing a romantic partner because he is already financially secure.
Speaking during a recent livestream with streamer Shank, the singer said he has previously dated women who were unemployed and even described some as lazy.
“A woman’s financial status doesn’t matter to me. I am rich. I have dated girls who didn’t make money before. They just sleep and wake up,” he said.
According to Ruger, the most important quality he looks for in a woman is a good sense of humour, describing his ideal partner as “someone who is funny.”
The singer added that he is looking forward to settling down soon.
“I keep ordering takeouts because there is no one at home to cook for me. That’s one of the reasons I want to settle down,” he said.
During the interview, Ruger also disclosed that he has earned more than $2 million so far this year.
