Nigerian singer Victony, whose real name is Anthony Ebuka Victor, has shared a deeply emotional account of the events leading up to his life-threatening accident.
The fast-rising Afrobeats star revealed that on the morning of the incident, he had misled his father about his whereabouts. According to him, he claimed to be in school in Owerri, whereas he was actually in Lagos attending a party with fellow artiste Zlatan.

“The morning of my accident, I told my dad I was in school in Owerri, but I was actually in Lagos partying with Zlatan. I fell asleep in the car and woke up in the hospital with my dad beside me. He said I had been in a coma for four days,” Victony recounted.

However, the revelation sheds more light on the tragic car accident that left the singer hospitalised and fighting for his life. The incident, which occurred in 2021, marked a turning point in his career and personal life, as he battled serious injuries and underwent a long recovery process.

Despite the severity of the accident, the singer has since returned to music, releasing several successful projects that have further solidified his place in Nigeria’s vibrant music scene.
