Popular Nigerian-American dancer, singer, and content creator Korra Obidi has shared a startling childhood memory, revealing how her brothers and uncles physically assaulted her after she wore and posted her first bikini.
In a recent interview clip circulating widely on social media, Obidi recounted the incident with visible emotion. “My brothers and uncles beat me black and blue when I wore my first bikini and posted it… punched me in my stomach,” she said, highlighting the intense family opposition she faced for defying conservative expectations around modesty.
Moving forward, the dancer noted that she would post videos and pictures of her on bikini every week to grow. Looking back, the single mum stated that these videos of her dancing and her songs are fetching her cool cash, but her videos bring more money.
