Fast-rising Nigerian singer, TI Blaze, has shared a harrowing account of his journey to stardom, revealing the depths of poverty and homelessness he endured before finding fame.
The artiste opened up about a dark period in 2020 when he lived on the streets, a stark contrast to the successful life he leads today in the music industry.
The talented artiste, who disclosed these details during a recent emotional interview, explained that he spent nearly nine months without a roof over his head after fleeing his family home.
During this period of displacement, he found himself sleeping in the most unlikely of places, including a hotel kitchen, while desperately searching for his big break.

“I was 20 in 2020 when I was on the streets for like 8-9 months because I ran away from home, sleeping in a random hotel’s kitchen before I got a remix from Olamide. I was struggling, so I had to sell the songs I wrote for 2-3k just to meet up with feeding,” he revealed.
TI Blaze highlighted the desperation of his circumstances, noting that he was forced to undervalue his creative work just to survive. Selling potential hit songs for as little as 2,000 to 3,000 Naira was a necessity born out of hunger rather than a lack of talent.
“I didn’t have anything, and those days in the kitchen were long. But everything changed when Baddo (Olamide) stepped in. That was the turning point for me,” he added.
