A Nigerian lady has taken to social media to call out her elder brother after he allegedly assaulted her when she visited him following a report someone had made about her.
In a video making the rounds online, the lady expressed anger over her brother’s actions, insisting that being related to her did not give him the right to physically assault her.
According to her, she is an adult who is above 18 and should not be subjected to physical punishment by anyone, including her family members.
Speaking out against the incident, she said: “I am over 18 years old, you don’t have any right to beat me, you don’t have any right to raise your hand on me.”
The lady’s outburst has sparked conversations online about family relationships, respect for personal boundaries and the treatment of adult siblings.
Her account of the incident has also drawn attention to the issue of physical violence within families, with discussions surrounding whether being an elder sibling gives anyone the right to discipline an adult brother or sister through violence.
