“Imagine Him Giving Three Handshakes To A Woman”- Man Criticizes Igwe Obosi Over Remi Tinubu Chieftaincy Title

A man has criticised Igwe Obosi over the traditional title recently given to First Lady Oluremi Tinubu in Anambra State.

Reacting to the development, he said he was ashamed of his home state, Imo State, while also expressing disappointment over what he described as the actions of traditional rulers in the South-East.

He said, “I’m ashamed of my state, Imo State. People should please forgive me. Anambra State’s own is the wørst. Imagine Igwe Obosi giving three handshakes to a woman, Remi Tinubu, just because of a chieftaincy title.”

He argued that the title would have no direct effect on the political support for the All Progressives Congress in the region.

He added, “If you people like, make him Udogachi, Agunechemba, or Ndi Akaodo of Anambra State, it does not guarantee that people will vote for APC.”

The comment has generated reactions online, with some users criticising traditional rulers for accepting political honours, while others questioned the growing politicisation of traditional institutions.
