Edo State Governor Monday Okpebholo has taken a swipe at Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, describing him as a “dancing governor” while urging Osun voters to remove him from office in the forthcoming governorship election.
Speaking at a political gathering, Okpebholo questioned Adeleke’s style of leadership, claiming the governor spends more time dancing than governing the state.
“Is Osun State not tired of having a dancing governor? Before he signs paper, he will dance. For four years he has been dancing. He’s Obaseki’s friend. We have to kick him out the way we kicked Obaseki out of Edo.”
The remarks have since sparked heated reactions online, with many Nigerians divided over the governor’s comments. While some defended Adeleke’s administration, others criticized Okpebholo for focusing on another state’s politics instead of issues in Edo.
