Nigerian singer Adewale Mayowa Emmanuel, popularly known as Mayorkun, has sparked conversations after opening up about his views on marriage, prenuptial agreements and DNA testing.
The singer revealed that he had already discussed the possibility of signing a prenuptial agreement with his girlfriend, as well as conducting a DNA test if they eventually have a child.
According to Mayorkun, his girlfriend was unhappy with the suggestion, but he maintained that he would want to establish certainty about the paternity of any child he has.
“I told my girlfriend we’d have to do a prenup and DNA test when she gives me a child, just to be sure. She got upset. I’ve thought of doing the DNA test without telling her. If it’s my child, no issues. If not, everybody will hear about it.”
His comments have since generated reactions online, particularly because of his suggestion that he could conduct a DNA test without informing his partner.
