Max Air refunded more than ₦182 million to 956 passengers in the second quarter of 2026, according to the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA).
The aviation regulator disclosed that the airline paid ₦182,099,018.88 in ticket refunds between April and June 2026.

While commending the airline for settling the claims, the NCAA urged Max Air to speed up the processing of passenger refunds in line with the Nigerian Civil Aviation Regulations (Nig. CARs) 2023.
“In the second quarter of 2026 (April, May, June), domestic operator, Max Air paid out ticket refunds to the tune of ₦182,099,018.88 to 956 passengers,” the NCAA said.
“While this is appreciated and acknowledged, we look forward to quicker resolution of passenger refund claims in line with Part 19 of the NCAA Regulations 2023.”
The authority reaffirmed its commitment to safeguarding the interests of air travellers and other stakeholders in the aviation industry.
“The NCAA remains committed to protecting the rights and responsibilities of passengers, operators, and all stakeholders,” the regulator added.
