Nigerian social media personality Emeka the Star has opened up about what he described as opposition from members of his extended family.
According to him, a seer recently told him that some relatives on both his father’s and mother’s sides were allegedly working against his progress because of jealousy.
Emeka shared the claim while speaking about the challenges he has faced and the people he believes may not want to see him fulfil his potential.
He said the seer informed him that his relatives were allegedly making plans to frustrate his destiny and prevent him from achieving his goals.
“A seer told me that my father’s and mother’s sides of the family don’t want me to achieve my destiny. They plan all manner of things because of jealousy,” Emeka the Star said.
His revelation has sparked reactions online, with some social media users debating the possibility of family members being envious of one another, while others questioned the basis of such claims.

In other news… Media personality Dr Fab has given a fresh update on the controversial case surrounding music producer Samklef, saying he is stepping aside after discovering that the matter is more complicated than he initially expected.
Dr Fab, who had previously raised concerns over Samklef’s prolonged absence from social media, claimed on September 25 that he had directly confirmed the producer was arrested sometime earlier and was being detained.
He subsequently launched the #FreeSamklef campaign and called for his release, while saying he was trying to find out who was behind the alleged detention. However, the circumstances of Samklef’s reported arrest have not been independently confirmed by the police, a court or his representatives.
In a fresh post on Thursday, Dr Fab said the situation had turned out to be more difficult than he expected.
He wrote: “Sorry I’ve not updated on this Samklef issue. The matter just get as e be, mehn I thought it will be easy.. but damn! Make I just shift aside before dem add me join. I will be praying for him. #FreeSamklef”
His latest comment has now triggered fresh reactions online, with some users mocking him for backing away from the issue, while others questioned why he became involved in the first place.
Samklef has remained largely inactive on social media since April 2026, which has been cited by Dr Fab and others as part of the reason for concern over his whereabouts.
