The Orashi National Congress, ONC, apex body of Orashi Region comprising four LGAs – Abua/Odual, Ahoada East, Ahoada West and Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni – has congratulated the Inspector General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, on his courtesy visit to Government House, Port Harcourt.
In a statement signed by its President General, Amb. Comrade Emeni Ibe, JP, AP, the ONC commended his exemplary professionalism, courage and dedication to duty.
The group said his collaborative approach with the Rivers State Government under Governor Siminalayi Fubara demonstrates strong leadership and commitment to national unity and security.
It particularly applauded his focus on safeguarding Nigeria’s critical oil and gas infrastructure, noting that it fully endorses and pledges total support for the ongoing anti-pipeline vandalism campaign and initiatives aimed at curbing pipeline vandalism, oil theft and economic sabotage in the Niger Delta.
“We stand firmly with the Nigeria Police Force in ensuring pipelines and energy facilities are protected and secure for our economy and communities,” ONC said.
The Congress, describing Orashi Region as a peaceful stakeholder, assured the Police of its readiness to collaborate through community policing, intelligence sharing and grassroots mobilisation across its four LGAs.
“We are committed to supporting security agencies in maintaining peace and protecting lives and property,” it stated.
The ONC also commended Governor Siminalayi Fubara for his steady leadership and continuous support for security agencies in Rivers State, and wished the IGP continued wisdom, strength and success.
