ONC To Host Special Convention On Peace, Unity And Development In Orashi Region

The Orashi National Congress (ONC), the apex socio-cultural organization representing the people of the Orashi region in Rivers State, has announced plans to host a Special Convention aimed at promoting peace, unity and sustainable development across the region.

 

The convention, which is expected to bring together stakeholders, traditional rulers, political leaders, youth groups and community representatives, will be held at the Erema Civil Center, Erema Town, in Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area (ONELGA) of Rivers State.

According to the event announcement, the Governorship Candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) in Rivers State, High Chief Dumo Lulu-Briggs, will attend as the Special Guest of Honour.

 

The convention is designed to strengthen collaboration among the various ethnic nationalities that make up the Orashi region while encouraging dialogue, peaceful coexistence and collective efforts towards accelerating development.

 

Speaking ahead of the event, the President General of the Orashi National Congress, Ambassador Comrade Emeni Ibe, JP, AP, reaffirmed the organization’s commitment to fostering unity and creating a platform where critical issues affecting the region can be discussed with a view to finding lasting solutions.

 

He noted that the convention aligns with the vision of the ONC to promote peace, protect the collective interests of the Orashi people and deepen partnerships that will drive socio-economic growth across the region.

 

The ONC called on sons and daughters of Orashi, community leaders, youth groups, women organizations and other stakeholders to participate actively in the convention and contribute to the shared vision of a peaceful, united and prosperous Orashi region.
