RCCG Stands Firm: Adeboye Defends First Lady Oluremi Tinubu’s Pastoral Role

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Enoch Adejare Adeboye, has declared that Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, will not be removed as an ordained pastor in the church.

Speaking during the church’s monthly Holy Ghost Service, Adeboye clarified that the First Lady was ordained as an Assistant Pastor over a decade ago—well before her husband, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, pursued the presidency.

He stressed that her ordination followed due process and that she has not breached any doctrinal or administrative guidelines of the church. According to him, there are no grounds for disciplinary action.

Adeboye further noted that the church would not yield to external pressure or public calls demanding her removal, reaffirming RCCG’s stance on maintaining its internal decisions regarding leadership and ordination.
