Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has opened up about her youthful appearance, her experience as a single mother, and the reason she has chosen to become more reserved in recent years.
The actress shared her thoughts during an appearance on Morayo’s Show, where she was asked about the secret behind her radiant look despite the challenges of raising children as a single mother.
Responding to the question, Iyabo jokingly attributed part of her glow to intimacy, saying, “Sex has a lot to do with a woman’s glow.”
The actress also reflected on her journey from facing the challenges and stereotypes often linked with single motherhood to achieving success in her acting career. She described her accomplishments as a source of happiness and fulfilment.
“It makes me feel good, happy, and fulfilled,” she said.
Speaking about the title “Queen Mother” often associated with her, Iyabo explained that she has intentionally reduced public confrontations, especially since her daughter got married and she became a grandmother.
According to the actress, her decision to be calmer was influenced by her desire to protect her family from unnecessary controversy.
“I have piped down because of my grandson now. My daughter is married, so when I keep fighting, the opposite side is going to come up with different false allegations, and I don’t want her going through any stress,” she said.
Despite becoming less outspoken, Iyabo Ojo stressed that she has not abandoned her principles and would still speak out whenever she feels it is necessary.
“But if the need arises for me to speak up, then I will,” she added.
The actress’ comments have sparked conversations among fans, with many praising her for embracing a more peaceful approach while still maintaining her strong personality.
