Nigerian content creator Peller has defended his wife, Jarvis, after she became emotional over body-shaming comments about her appearance.
In a video shared online, Jarvis appeared to be affected by comments from people who made her feel unattractive. Peller, however, comforted her, praised her beauty and reminded her that he finds her beautiful.
He also called on people to stop body-shaming his wife, explaining that her facial appearance is connected to a health challenge she previously went through.
According to Peller, Jarvis developed a tumor, and she underwent surgery during which her teeth were removed. He further explained that a bone was taken from her waist and used to reconstruct her jaw.
Peller’s defence has since attracted reactions online, with some social media users praising him for standing by Jarvis during a difficult moment.
