“Stop Visiting Lagos If You Want To Experience Nigeria” – Solomon Buchi Says Lagos Is All About Begging And “Fake Life”

Nigerian social commentator Solomon Buchi has advised non-Nigerians to stop visiting Lagos if they want to experience what he considers Nigeria in its “truest most beautiful form.”

Buchi made the statement while criticising the image of Lagos as a representation of Nigeria, claiming that visitors to the state are exposed mainly to begging, clubbing, “fake life” and immorality.

He wrote, “STOP visiting Lagos if you are a non-Nigerian and you want to experience Nigeria in its truest most beautiful form… The only thing you can get out of Lagos is begging, clubbing, fake life and a den of adulterers and fornicators…”

His comment has sparked reactions online, with some users agreeing that Lagos is overrated, while others argued that nightlife and entertainment are among the reasons people visit major cities around the world.
