“Tinubu Approved SUVs For FCT Traditional Rulers” – Wike Reveals

FCT Minister Nyesom Wike has disclosed that President Bola Tinubu approved the purchase of sports utility vehicles (SUVs) for traditional rulers in the Federal Capital Territory.

Wike made the disclosure while speaking about the provision of vehicles for the traditional rulers, saying the approval came from the president.

The announcement has triggered criticism on social media, with several Nigerians questioning the government’s spending priorities amid the country’s economic challenges.

Some users also linked the approval to the 2027 general election, alleging that the move was aimed at securing political support. Others questioned why funds were being allocated for SUVs when workers had reportedly faced prolonged negotiations over transport allowances.
