U-20 WWCQ: Aduku targets big margin win over Malawi

Falconets head coach, Moses Aduku is targeting a big win against Malawi in the first leg of their 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup qualifying fixture.

Saturday’s encounter is slated for Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne.

Nigeria edged past Senegal 3-1 on aggregate in the previous round.

Malawi, on their part, recorded a 6-2 aggregate win over Guinea Bissau.

The winner over two legs will earn a berth at the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup which will be hosted by Poland in September.

Aduku claimed his side will fight hard to secure a comfortable win to make the second leg a mere formality.

“No two games are the same, yes they scored six goals in their last game, we watched the game and we saw their strength and weakness and we will work towards it, we will counter it.

“The six we are looking at will be in the opposite,” Aduku told a press conference in Ikenne.

Tonight’s encounter will kick-off at 4pm local time.
