Nigerian investigative journalist David Hundeyin has sparked controversy online after alleging that Uber was connected to the CIA and had spent 12 years collecting intelligence data in Nigeria.
Hundeyin claimed that the ride-hailing company was part of a wider US military-industrial complex and allegedly operated under a contract that has now expired.
“Uber is CIA. They were part of a U.S. military-industrial complex, collecting intelligence data in Nigeria for 12 years. They left after their contract expired; a Palantir subsidiary in Abuja has replaced them.”
