Nollywood actress Laide Bakare is filled with joy as her daughter marks a major milestone, turning 18 today, September 3.
The actress took to social media to celebrate the birthday girl, sharing beautiful photos and reflecting on how quickly she has grown. Laide recalled how it seemed like only yesterday that she was carrying her daughter as a little baby, and now she has officially entered adulthood.
While celebrating her daughter, the actress also apologised for the hurried nature of the birthday photoshoot. She explained that her demanding schedule left her with limited time to prepare for the special occasion.
Laide admitted that she would have loved to have more time to make the celebration and photoshoot as beautiful and perfect as she believed her daughter deserved.
Beyond the birthday wishes, the Yoruba actress expressed deep gratitude for the kind of relationship she shares with her daughter. She appreciated her for accepting and loving her genuinely, understanding her and embracing her just the way she is.

My baby girl has officially stepped into adulthood, and my heart is filled with so many emotions.
I’m sorry that your birthday shoot was done in such a rush because of my very tight schedule. I wish I had more time to make everything as perfect and beautiful as you deserve.
