Nollywood actress Toyin Abraham has come under heavy criticism on social media following her latest post, which has sparked reactions among fans and online users.
The actress took to her social media page on Friday to reminisce about her collaboration with TikTok on her 2025 movie, Oversabi Aunty, while expressing excitement about future partnerships.
Sharing a throwback from the collaboration, Toyin described the experience as a beautiful one and hinted at more exciting projects ahead as she prepares for her upcoming movie, Bestie.
“Throwback to when Tiktok collaborated with Oversabi Aunty! It was such a beautiful experience, and I’m looking forward to more amazing collaborations as we gear up for Bestie. More magic, more creativity, and bigger moments ahead!”
However, her post has attracted criticism, with some social media users dragging the actress over the timing of the update.
The backlash comes days after her colleague and longtime rival, Funke Akindele, announced her partnership with Facebook’s parent company, Meta, ahead of the premiere of her forthcoming movie, The Four.
The timing of both announcements has since fuelled conversations online, with social media users drawing comparisons between the two actresses and their respective promotional partnerships.
