2027: Tinubu Favoured To Win Presidential Election – Barau

The Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Barau Jibrin, has expressed confidence that President Bola Tinubu will win the January 16, 2027 presidential election, citing favourable political permutations and assessments by political analysts.

Barau spoke at the weekend during the inauguration of campaign committees for Dawakin Tofa, Tofa and Rimin Gado local government areas of Kano State, where he urged All Progressives Congress (APC) members to unite and mobilise support for the party’s candidates.

In a statement on Sunday by his media aide, Ismail Mudashir, Barau said the political situation in the country and the foundation laid by Tinubu’s administration had positioned the president for victory and a second term.

“Based on the assessments of political analysts and the current state of Nigerian politics, all indications suggest that, by Allah’s grace, Bola Ahmed Tinubu will win the presidential election,” he said.

The Deputy Senate President described Kano as a critical political battleground, noting that the state has the second-highest number of registered voters after Lagos and deserves greater attention and developmental opportunities from the Federal Government.

He said Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf’s defection from the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) to the APC was a strategic decision that had strengthened Kano’s political relevance and improved its access to development opportunities.

Barau expressed confidence that the alignment of the governor, lawmakers, local government chairmen, councillors and other political stakeholders under the APC would translate into greater political and developmental gains for the state. He also thanked party leaders and stakeholders for sustaining the party’s unity.

He charged members of the newly inaugurated campaign committees to intensify grassroots mobilisation and ensure the victory of all APC candidates in the 2027 elections. “Mobilise, campaign and ensure that all APC candidates emerge victoriously from top to bottom,” he urged.
