Sharon Adeleke has shed light on what she described as the often-misunderstood financial reality of children born into wealthy and influential families.
The entrepreneur and socialite explained that while so-called “nepo babies” may have access to privileges that many people do not, their financial situation is not always as unrestricted as the public assumes.
According to Sharon, having wealthy parents does not necessarily mean such individuals have unlimited cash at their disposal. She noted that many of them receive significant support in the form of education, land and properties, but are expected to put those assets to good use.
“A lot of nepo babies don’t really have access to cash the way you guys make it seem. They have more than the average person, but they’re always on a budget. Your school fees are paid, you’re given land and properties, but you have to make use of them.”
Her comments have sparked conversations about the difference between having access to wealth and having unrestricted access to cash.
