Apostle Johnson Suleman has praised Abia State Governor Alex Otti for what he described as evidence that good governance is achievable in Nigeria.
Suleman, in a recent statement, commended Otti’s administration while highlighting what he believes Nigerians expect from their political leaders.
According to the cleric, Otti’s performance in Abia State demonstrates that citizens are not demanding unrealistic things from those in government, but simply want the basic responsibilities of governance to be fulfilled.
He further suggested that Otti’s record could earn him a second term without having to embark on an extensive campaign.
“Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, is proof that good governance is possible. He can easily win a second term without campaigning. Nigerians are not even asking for too much. Just do the basics for us.”
Suleman’s remarks also amounted to criticism of politicians who, in his view, have failed to meet the basic expectations of Nigerians while in office.
His comments have drawn attention to the ongoing conversations around leadership, accountability and the quality of governance across Nigeria.
