A Nigerian poultry farmer has sparked widespread debate on social media after claiming that many Nigerians living in the United Kingdom are not as financially comfortable as people assume.
Speaking in a viral video, the farmer dismissed the popular perception of life abroad, describing the UK as “Lagos Phase 2” while insisting that many residents cannot boast of having £20,000 in their bank accounts.
“I’m not like the people living in UK. I call it Lagos Phase 2. Many of them can’t even boast of having £20,000 in their bank accounts.”
The farmer also claimed that his poultry business in Nigeria generates more income than the salaries of some top bank managers, encouraging Nigerians to focus on building successful businesses at home instead of believing relocation is the only path to financial success.
