“Liz Benson Refused To Continue The Scene”- Actor Clemson Cornell Shares Unusual Set Experience

Nollywood actor Clemson Cornell Agbogidi has opened up about an unusual experience he said he had while working alongside veteran actress Liz Benson on a movie set.

According to Agbogidi, his portrayal of a native doctor was so convincing that Benson reportedly became uncomfortable and declined to proceed with the scene.

Speaking about his journey and experiences in the Nigerian film industry, the actor claimed that the veteran actress believed an actual native doctor had been brought to the set to perform with her.

“Liz Benson ran away and refused to act after what I did on set! She said they brought a real native doctor to act with her,” he said.

Beyond recounting the incident, Agbogidi also shared his views on traditional African religious practices. He argued that Africans who practised indigenous religions before the introduction and spread of Christianity should not automatically be labelled as evil.

The actor noted that traditional forms of worship existed among African communities long before Christianity arrived on the continent. He therefore urged people to consider the practices and beliefs of their ancestors within their historical context.

“Before Christianity, our forefathers were there. Most of those who worshipped idols were not evil,” he added.

His remarks have since sparked conversations online, with social media users weighing in on his acting skills, his ability to portray traditional characters and the story involving Liz Benson.
