NANS President Says NELFUND Upkeep Payments Being Released

The President of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Babatunde Akinteye, popularly known as Babtee, has announced that upkeep payments under the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) are being released to eligible beneficiaries.

In a post on the X formerly Twitter social media platform, Akinteye said all eligible students would receive their upkeep payments, assuring beneficiaries that delays experienced in the past would no longer occur.

“The upkeep payments are now being released. As I mentioned earlier, everyone who is eligible will receive their upkeep. Going forward, there should be no reason for delays,” he wrote.

He urged students who had yet to receive their payments to remain patient and stay alert, expressing confidence that they would receive the funds soon.

NELFUND provides student loans and upkeep allowances to eligible students in tertiary institutions as part of the Federal Government’s effort to improve access to higher education.
