“This Girl Made My Day Very Bad”- Bride Calls Out Decorator After Allegedly Collecting ₦300,000 And Missing Wedding

A Nigerian bride has taken to social media to call out an event decorator, @theeventbymuse_, after allegedly failing to turn up for her wedding despite receiving a full payment of ₦300,000.

In a video circulating online, the bride, still dressed in her wedding gown, expressed disappointment over what she described as a distressing experience on her wedding day.

According to her account, she discovered the decorator through Instagram and contacted her to handle the decoration of her wedding venue. She said the agreed fee was ₦300,000 and that she initially planned to pay half of the amount.

However, the bride claimed the decorator requested full payment, after which she paid the outstanding ₦150,000, completing the agreed ₦300,000 payment.

She alleged that despite receiving the entire amount, the decorator did not appear at the venue on the scheduled wedding day.

The bride said she spent the morning trying to reach the decorator through phone calls and messages but allegedly received no response. As a result, she claimed the venue remained undecorated as her wedding proceeded.

Expressing her frustration, the bride said the situation had greatly affected her emotionally and made what should have been a memorable occasion extremely stressful.

She said:

“Okay guys, I am a bride of today, alright, and then I paid Event by Muse. I paid her fully. I have our chat here. I met her via Instagram, and after reaching out to her, she said she was going to charge ₦300,000.

“I decided to pay her half payment, and she said, ‘No,’ and I later ended up paying the remaining ₦150,000.

“She is supposed to come today, right, on my wedding day. Since the morning till now, I didn’t see her. I did not get her call. I was texting her, I was calling her, and she refused to come.

“This girl made my day very, very bad. I feel so terrible right now. Like, it is my day, and this is how it looks like, no decoration at all.

“I am going to show you guys the screenshot of everything. You guys should tell me if this is right by this person. She even collected money for caterers, ₦5,000 each, and yet I did not see her.

“You guys should tell me if this is okay. Tell me if this is right.”

The bride further revealed that she planned to make screenshots of her conversations with the decorator available online to support her claims and show details of their agreement and payment.

The incident has generated reactions across social media, with several users expressing sympathy for the bride and questioning the alleged conduct of the decorator.

As of the time of the report, the decorator had not publicly responded to the bride’s allegations.
