“To Feed A Crew Per Day Is ₦10,000” – Ugezu J Ugezu Reveals Why He Now Budgets ₦10M For A Movie

Nollywood actor and filmmaker Ugezu J Ugezu has revealed that the rising cost of production has forced him to increase the amount he is willing to spend on making a movie.

The filmmaker said his highest budget for a movie used to be ₦7 million, but he now considers ₦10 million the maximum he can spend because of the current state of the economy.

He also highlighted the cost of feeding a film crew and explained how he recoups his investment through YouTube.

He said:

“The highest I can spend on a movie is ₦7 million. But now that the economy is irregular, I’d likely say ₦10 million is the highest I can spend on a movie. To feed a crew per day is ₦10,000 so just imagine feeding 30 crews per day.💔😭 And the only way I’m guaranteed to make my back is splitting my film into different parts on YouTube.”

His comments have drawn reactions online, with some social media users questioning the amount allocated to feeding a crew while others focused on the size of his movie budgets.
