A High Court of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Maitama, has ordered Jordan Wike, son of FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, to produce his American international passport before the court in a $2.1 million land dispute.
Justice Sylvanus Oriji issued the order on Tuesday following an application by counsel to the claimants, Hamza Dantani, during the resumed hearing of the suit.
The suit, marked CV/008/2026, was filed by Safwan Garba GY and GY Global Oil and Gas Nigeria Limited against Jordan.
The claimants alleged that they met Jordan in London, where they developed a relationship before subsequently meeting in Abuja about three months later.
According to the claimants, they approached Jordan for assistance in facilitating the acquisition of land in Abuja, and he allegedly agreed to help them secure 30 hectares in Katampe and another 30 hectares in Guzape.
They further alleged that Jordan demanded $2.1 million as facilitation fees for the transactions.
The claimants said Jordan told them that $2 million of the money was meant for his father, while the remaining $100,000 was his personal share.
They alleged that the $2.1 million was delivered to Jordan on September 26, 2025, in the presence of Adamu Sani, Aliyu Sarki and Sai Wani, while Jordan was accompanied by one Onor Sandy.
The claimants alleged that after receiving the money, Jordan neither facilitated the acquisition of the lands nor refunded the funds, but instead became unreachable.
At Tuesday’s proceedings, Jordan adopted his statement on oath in which he denied the allegations.
He was represented by Mr Ogwu Onoja, SAN, while several documents were tendered through him.
During cross-examination by Dantani, Jordan repeatedly denied knowledge of matters raised by the claimants’ counsel.
Dantani subsequently asked the court to direct Jordan to write his full name five times and append his signature five times on a plain sheet of paper.
The application was not opposed by the defence, and Justice Oriji granted it.
During further questioning, Jordan was asked where he was on September 26, 2025.
He told the court that he was not in Nigeria on the date.
When asked which international passport he used to travel, Jordan said he travelled with his American international passport.
He added that he could produce the passport if required.
Following the response, Dantani applied for an order directing Jordan to produce the passport before the court.
Justice Oriji granted the application and ordered Jordan to produce the American international passport.
The judge adjourned the matter until Wednesday for continuation of the hearing.
