Nollywood actress Moyo Lawal has responded to a social media user who criticised her for remaining active in the entertainment industry despite her age.
The actress came under fire after the man accused her of refusing to make way for younger actresses. He reportedly claimed that Lawal was “not giving younger hoes a chance” and questioned why she had continued her career in Nollywood.
Lawal, however, did not ignore the comment as she fired back at the critic while addressing remarks about her appearance and her past relationship.
In her response, the actress questioned whether her physical appearance was the reason behind the man’s criticism. She also referred to the difficult experience she allegedly faced after ending a past relationship.
Lawal further dismissed any association between herself and promiscuity while defending herself against the accusations.
She wrote:
“You are pained because I look amazing? Because I left a man who’s feeble brain could not stand losing me and tried to destroy me at a time? Me and sleeping around has nothing in common.”
The actress’ response has since drawn attention online, with the exchange sparking reactions from social media users.
