A lady who has spent five days in Nigeria has criticised the country’s infrastructure, particularly poor drainage, after reportedly experiencing flooding that made it difficult to leave her uncle’s house.
Sharing her experience, the lady said she was shocked by the state of the country’s infrastructure and claimed residents need to be “a little bit crazy” to survive in Nigeria.
She said:
“I have been in Nigeria for five days now and I just have to say this is not a real place. In order to survive in Nigeria you need to be a little bit crazy because otherwise you won’t be able be to make it here. The country infrastructure sucks. How is that it has poor drainage that the only way to get out of my uncle’s house is to take a boat or water-through with rain boot?”
Her comments sparked mixed reactions on social media, with some Nigerians agreeing with her concerns about infrastructure while others argued that her experience may not represent the entire country.
