Nigerian social commentator Isaac Fayose has reacted to the exit of Peter Obi from the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
Taking to his Instagram page, Fayose shared his thoughts on the development, insisting that the party failed to make the right political decisions ahead of future elections.
“Bye-bye to ADC. ADC, we tried to beg the former vice president, Atiku, and David Mark-led exco to zone the presidency to the South. That’s the best way to go because it is the turn of the South.
You cannot put Atiku when it is supposed to be a Southerner. So if you cannot zone it, there is no point being in that party. I am happy to announce the rise and the death of ADC,” he stated.
He further suggested that the party’s inability to adopt a southern candidate contributed to its current situation, stressing that political strategy plays a key role in party survival.
Fayose also hinted at a new political alignment, expressing confidence in a potential alliance involving key opposition figures Peter Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso.
“Now we are carrying our glory and our power to a new party. Obi–Kwankwaso ticket is okay for me. They already look like the rescue team.
So bye-bye ADC. Now ADC will know it is not about their party, it is about the eagle that entered their party. Now that the eagle is out, that means the rise and fall of ADC. Obi–Kwankwaso, there is no going back,” he added.
His remarks have added to the growing political conversations, as Nigerians continue to watch closely for the next moves ahead of the 2027 elections.
