Ned Nwoko Breaks Silence On Regina Daniels’ Health

The Senator representing Delta North, Ned Nwoko, has broken his silence on the health challenges facing his estranged wife and Nollywood actress, Regina Daniels.

Nwoko appealed to the public to stop spreading false reports about her condition, including fake news of her death.

In a statement shared on his Instagram page on Monday, Nwoko urged the fans of the actress, friends, bloggers and social media commentators to give her breathing space to recover from her health challenges.

“I want to make a sincere appeal to the public, particularly Regina’s fans, friends, bloggers and social media commentators, to please give Regina some breathing space. Make this appeal not just for her sake, but also for the sake of the kids, who are very well cared for and deserve to see their mother supported, loved and given every opportunity to get better,” he wrote.

He said Regina had endured more than many people realised, adding that a video she shared during her 25th birthday celebration in October offered a glimpse into some of the health difficulties she had been experiencing.

“Regina has been through a lot, more than many people may realise, and right now, what she needs most is love, support and the opportunity to recover. The video she shared on her birthday gave people a glimpse of some of the health challenges she has been dealing with,” he stated.

“As someone who knows what she has been through, I can tell you that this is not a time to judge, vilify or add to her burdens. It is a time to show compassion and allow her the opportunity to heal.”

Nwoko said the circulation of false reports about Regina’s death and misleading accounts of her health had caused her distress.

“I am particularly concerned about the circulation of false and disturbing reports about her, including fabricated death announcements, misleading stories and other hurtful content. These things are not harmless social media engagement. Regina sees many of these posts, and they are deeply distressing,” he said.

He urged her supporters to discourage the circulation of such reports rather than amplify them.

The senator also threatened legal action against bloggers and social media users who deliberately publish false information about the actress.

“Let me make this very clear: I will not tolerate the deliberate spread of false information about Regina, particularly fabricated reports about her death, health or personal circumstances. Those hiding behind social media accounts to invent stories, mislead the public and exploit her situation for clicks and engagement should stop immediately.

“We are documenting these publications, and anyone found responsible will be held accountable through the appropriate legal channels. There is a limit to what should be tolerated, and that limit has been reached.

“Regardless of the difficulties we have faced, her well-being has always mattered to me. It is, in fact, the very concern that brought much of our private situation into the public domain,” he stated.

In October 2025, Regina had accused Nwoko of domestic violence in a series of emotional social media posts and videos.

The actress, who appeared distressed in one of the videos, alleged that she could no longer endure violence in the marriage and called for an end to alleged repeated abuse.

Nwoko had denied the allegations and accused Regina of substance abuse. He also claimed that her alleged drug and alcohol use contributed to the breakdown of their relationship.

He also alleged that she had been involved in violent confrontations with domestic staff and damaged property at their residence.

Regina denied his claims during their public exchange.

The dispute escalated in November 2025 when Nwoko’s media team released purported medical and toxicology reports as evidence of the actress’s alleged substance use. Regina and her family challenged the claims and accused the lawmaker of attempting to damage her reputation and isolate her from loved ones.

In January 2026, Regina shared a drug test result reportedly showing a negative result. But Nwoko, in response, questioned the validity of the result.

October 10, 2026, when Regina marked her 25th birthday, she appeared in a wheelchair and disclosed that she had been experiencing health difficulties that affected her mobility.

She said what began as a minor health challenge gradually worsened and left her in excruciating pain, sometimes making it impossible for her to walk.

According to the actress, her condition deteriorated after the 2026 Children’s Day carnival she hosted.

Regina and Nwoko held their traditional marriage ceremony in May 2019 and have two sons together.
