Fashion, music, and cultural expression stole the spotlight at the 2026 Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards Cultural Night as celebrities gathered in Lagos to honour Africa’s rich traditions and creativity.
The colourful event, held on Friday night, was themed: “Honouring Craft, Celebrating Culture,” and brought together actors, filmmakers, reality TV stars, fashion lovers, and entertainment personalities from across the continent.
Guests arrived in stunning traditional outfits, proudly showcasing the beauty and diversity of African fashion through fabrics such as Aso Oke, Kente, Isiagu, and richly beaded regalia.
Among the stars spotted at the event were Omowunmi Dada, Uche Jombo, Linda Ejiofor-Suleiman, Scarlet Gomez, Nnenna Mbonu, and Iyabo Ojo.
Others in attendance included Stan Nze, Bucci Franklin, Saga Adeolu, Liquorose, Neo Akpofure, and Venita Akpofure, all dressed in elaborate traditional attire celebrating African identity.
The event also highlighted African storytelling and creativity through cultural dance performances, live music, fashion showcases, and traditional cuisine, creating an atmosphere filled with glamour and cultural pride.
Host Uti Nwachukwu described the cultural night as a celebration of African identity beyond film and television.
According to him, the platform continues to promote unity and cultural pride while using entertainment to preserve African traditions and heritage.
He said the AMVCA Cultural Night serves as a reminder of Africa’s identity, expressed through fashion, storytelling, and culture.
The Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards remains one of Africa’s biggest film and television award platforms, recognising excellence in acting, filmmaking, production, and storytelling.
The main awards ceremony is scheduled to hold on Saturday in Lagos, with nominees across various categories competing for top honours.
